Our Mini Olympics

Games played at the mini Olympics were Bowling, Table Tennis, Pool and Horse racing to name a few.

    Team members enjoyed a delicious fish and chip supper.

At St John's we thought we'd try something different for fund raising.  So our very special games evening was introduced- called the Mini- Olympics.

Father Stephen  is the Lifeboat Chaplain for Southend and was delighted to be invited to officiate at the Wedding Blessing of Gary and Sue Weekes, in Spain. Gary is a Helmsman in the Southend Lifeboat Crews and joined the Lifeboat Station 4 years ago. He and Sue were married in Southend in October and then flew to Catalonia in Spain for the Wedding Blessing in the Chapel of a 17th Century Castle.

St John's Garden

We’ve worked hard to create a garden on the South Side of the Church. Over the last year Patsy Littlejohns has really moved this forward and a lovely area has been created with an outdoor table and seating and a bird table !  It  has been used by some of our Wedding couples for photographs. We shall be using this on Sundays after Church during the Summer.
