The Street Pastors

This year "THE STREET PASTORS" will begin using St John's on Friday and Saturday nights.  "THE STREET PASTORS" scheme has been an initiative of Love Southend, (Christians operating across the borough of Southend on Sea). "THE STREET PASTORS" are a group of Christians who simply provide any help to those in need, during the early hours of Friday and Saturday.  In particularly  it will be aimed at night clubbers.  Taking care of  them in the early hours of the morning when they are maybe a little worse for wear, offering them a cup of tea, a shoulder of support before sending them safely on their way.

Credo

The Credo group meets every other Monday.  The evening begins with a fish and chip supper at 7 30 pm and there is always plenty of wine available alongside soft drinks.  This is then followed by a discussion group.  The topics covered are social and spiritual issues.  Our Credo Evenings are relaxing and enjoyable. We look at modern issues in the light of our Christianity.  For further information contact Canon Stephen on Tel: 01702 342687.

Many more topics to be discussed with more dates to come so keep a look out or why not choose a topic you would like to know more about. Look forward to seeing you there!!!!
