Christians in Southend (CICS)

In 2002-  'Christians In Central Southend' (CICS) was formed. This comprises us as the Southend Central C of E Parish, St Helen's Roman Catholic Church, the Salvation Army, 2 Baptist Churches, and Southend Vineyard Church. We work closely together in a number of ways- a shared Lent Course, the Good Friday Walk of Witness, shared Acts of Worship, and Christmas Carol Singing.

In 2010 St. John's was joined by the 'Praise Christian Church Fellowship'- a Pentecostal Church- which worships at St John's every Sunday fro 12 noon - 4pm.

There are monthly lunches, teas, or coffee mornings, at the Rectory on the 1st Friday of each month- to raise money for the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza (for info about the Hospital go to You Tube- Al Ahli Hospital)- and also funds for St John's.
