Why
not ‘Sponsor a Sacrament Light in memory of a loved
one’?
One of our
successful projects for 2007, was "Sponsor a
Candle". Every week there will be a special
seven day candle which will burn in the Chapel.
It will be used to
mark what we call ‘the Reserved Sacrament’,
this is the
consecrated bread which is taken to those who can’t get
to church).
You can sponsor
the candle for a week, in memory of a loved one.
If available you can sponsor a certain week of the year
if there is a particular date that is important to you.
The cost is £5 per week. For more information:
Each 7 Day candle
will cost £5. Why not sponsor a candle for the week in
which your loved one passed away? Or a Birthday or
special anniversary ?
The name of the
person and if you wish, your own name, will be clearly
displayed in the Chapel at St John’s. And, of course,
you may come along that particular week to see the name
displayed. (St John's is open every Thursday, Friday and
Saturday morning).
I do hope that this
will be a meaningful way to remember someone special in
your life.
